Etheridge Shire Council Library

Public libraries are a partnership between Local Government and the Queensland Government through the State Library of Queensland

Our Library boasts a large range of adult and children's books in most categories. We also have a large range of audio books and DVD’s.

Our staff will also be able to help you navigate the online services ie. Magazines, eAudiobooks and eBooks and so much more. 

Tourist Card is available for those visiting Rural Queensland.

Library membership is free of charge, and most books can be ordered in on request. 

Arrangements can be made for tourists who wish to borrow from the Library while holidaying in the area (conditions apply).

Community Libraries

The towns of Forsayth, Einasleigh and Mt Surprise each operate a community library for residents to access books. 

Library Exchanges can be found at most Tourist Parks for visitors to the region to swap and share the love of reading.
